THE DEVIL FEEDS MY IMPULSIVENESS

I swore I just went there to check if they have the reviewer I was looking for. You see, I have this upcoming exam two weeks from now. I'm pretty confident I'll pass, however, my blocmate who's also taking the exam, said he'll get himself a reviewer just to make sure he won't fail. That got me nervous.

So this evening, after I left the office, I went straight to Fully-Booked in Boni High Street to get meself a good reviewer. After rummaging the shelves of the first, second, and third floors (ooh, there's a Starbucks AND White Hat stores inside the bookstore... Noice!), I was not able to find the reviewer. Then I asked this kind staff if such reviewer exists in the shop, and he led me obligingly to the correct shelf, leaving me shocked to discover that the reviewer costs way more than a thousand bucks!

"Oh no, this is not the right book. Too bad you don't have the reviewer here. *sigh* Maybe they have it in National Bookstore. Ktnxbye!"

I dashed downstairs until I reached the basement (oh, they have a basement!). And it is where I found this.

CROSSED-OVER: NEW IN 2011 & 2012

For two reasons, I would like to post here my recent purchases & acquisitions:

     (1)  I reeeeeeeeeeeally love these items. And if I could, I would incessantly rave about 'em all day. But of course, I hafta work. And eat.

     (2) I’m not really the materialistic type. I mean I am not so much into buying clothes, or accessories, or appliances. Ever since I started working, the only use I have for my dispensable income was to buy me food. FOOD! Different kinds – cheap, expensive, healthy, junk, sweet, spicy, Asian, Western, and so on. It was my only guilty pleasure then. Thus, month after month, the fate of my hard-earned salary would be just a big joyful burp!
Recently though, and with this I mean ‘in the past few months’, I started to buy tangible things. Ergo, those that I would not masticate or that would not perish after 24 hours.

To be honest, I am missing my eat-outs. But, having physical evidences of my hard-earned money which everyday reminds me of my hardwork, is not too bad, I realize.

So, ladies & gentlemen, without further ado, please allow me to present to you the fruits of my labor:

I ENVY YOU, PHOEBE CAULFIELD

Today I did nothing but bum out. I woke up early, had my coffee, and read my Sunday paper. And then I changed my profile picture in Facebook and then I listed down the things I'll do:

- write 1 blog entry (something about recent purchases)
- wash office uniforms
- iron office uniform for tomorrow
- read 1 chapter of LOMA 305 reviewer
- finish The Catcher in the Rye
- upload Christmas pics (net shop)
- upload Christmas vids (net shop)

And then I put priority numbers...

BEHIND LIES

I would just like to share with you these two videos of my latest performances. Both of which happened in the same event, Verve 3.

VERVE is a dance concert series being staged by the UPLB Street Jazz Dance Company (my college hiphop group). If you’re familiar with other school’s dance concerts, Verve can be likened to UP Manila Indayog’s SAYAW MANILA, UP Streetdance Club’s STREET FUZION, or LaSalle Street Dance Company’s DANZ DISH. I’m sure the Company of Ateneo Dancers also has one but I’m not sure what it’s called.

LOMA 305

Remember that entry about my free Starbucks coffee? If yes, do you also remember the reason why I had been hanging out in coffee shops at that time?

W.O.C.D.T - HELMET DIVING

Finally, I was able to find some time to post this. The last installment of the W.O.C.D.T. series. :)

To complete our Bora activities, we allowed ourselves to be submerged was that 15? feet below sea-level, and had a one-of-a-kind experience of playing with some fish.

THANK YOU STARBUCKS! AND FATE

Normally, my office breakfast would consist of 4 pan de sals, 2 packs of retail mayonnaise, and a cup of coffee purchased from a coffee dispenser in our pantry. A couple of days back though, I had a change in routine.

I had these for breakfast!

W.O.C.D.T. - PARASAILING

Another activity we did in Boracay was Parasailing. :)

This one is the most expensive among the activities that we did. It comprised >20% of our budget. Geez!

I hate to admit this, but I still think of you. A lot.

W.O.C.D.T. - ISLAND-HOPPING + SNORKELLING

As part of our Boracay activities last September, me and my friends procured a boat and went on an island-hopping escapade.

We played with the water, took picture of the islands, took pictures underwater, snorkelled, and did a lot of other crazy stuff.

ADVENTURESOME 2: ZIP IT!

To complete my Davao Extreme Adventure Weekend (ching!), I and my friends Jed, Sybil, Lesele, and Luningning went to Diversion Road to zipline! We chose Outland Adventure over Zipcity because we heard that Outland has a longer trail. Also, they have a double trail, plus you may opt to zip the line by doing a “Superman position”, i.e. prone position (lying face down) with arms spread sideways or at the front as if mimicking a flying Superman.

JIGGY JIGGY, CALL THAT GIRL BOJANGLES

Whenever SUGARFREE does a live act in Feb Fair (annual event in my alma mater), I am always there in the front row.

When I bumped into them at the backstage in one of our dance gigs (Wow! I just realized we shared gigs in the same event; though technically I did not perform that day), I unashamedly asked for a picture with frontman Ebe.

And when they had their last performance as a band in Eastwood, I struggled with the rain just to be there.I just wanted to see their last moment together as a band. And also sing with them, no, shout with them all the lyrics that I know. That night my heart cried together with the rest of the crowd's.

ADVENTURESOME: Wakeboarding in Davao City - The Real Deal

At the start of the year, I posted about my wakeboarding adventures in Davao. It was funny because I did NOT really participate in such activity at that time due to unfortunate reasons (read the blog linked in the previous sentence), and yet a lot of people /*mostly strangers I assume*/ visited that page, perhaps to gather some info about wakeboarding in Davao City. I know that for a fact because that post is the #5 most popular post in this entire blog -- see right panel for proof. *grin* I imagine the horror on their faces when they finished reading my post and not getting any relevant info.

So anyway, here's the real deal. Before August ended, me and my friends went to Deca Wakeboard Park, which is located at Deca Homes Resort Residences, Tacunan, Davao City. It's just a couple of miles away from my high school campus in Mintal, Davao City.

For those who are interested to wakeboard, I believe these are the rates:
